Peggy J. Morrison


Peggy June Massey Morrison, left this world on February 3, 2025. She was born to Alton and Inis Moreau Massey in Bruno, Arkansas June 16, 1936.

Peggy was a 1954 graduate of Leslie High School. Later, she moved to Washington State, was married and had two sons, Cary and Dennis Cooper. 

Later she returned to Arkansas where she was employed by Safeway Warehouse for many years before her retirement. She married Bill Morrison and they were married 38 years before his passing. 

She was a member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church, and an avid Razorback Basketball fan.

Peggy was a loving mother to Cary (Carol) of Washington and Dennis (Kay) Cooper of Arizona. She was a very proud “Granny” to Staci Snow, Andrew Cooper, Ian Cooper, and great grandchildren, Dixie, Andrew Jr., Jack and Adam Cooper, all of Arizona. 

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Vinita Massey Davis of North Little Rock; brothers: WL “Pud” Massey of Dover, JD “Jay” Massey of Marshall, niece, Charlotte Davis Ashley of North Little Rock, nephew, Jimmy Massey of Marshall, and great nephew, Cole Dorsey Baughman of Cabot. She was the favorite aunt of several nieces and nephews. 

Special thanks to the staff of Stonebridge Assisted Living in Cabot for their loving care. 

Visitation is 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 8th at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 11, 2025. 

Memorials in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
