Peggy Ann Carroll

Peggy Ann Carroll, age 93, of North Little Rock, AR passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Peggy was born on March 28, 1931, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Annie Lee and James Clifford Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Shelby (Grace) Carroll, Ruby (Hubert) Veazey, Lynn (Mary) Carroll, and Margaret (Jerry) Smith. Survivors include her brother Jerry (Joyce) Carroll of Conway, AR and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Peggy graduated from Cotton Plant High School in 1949 and then  attended Draughon Business College. She worked at Timex Corporation and Griffin Leggett Funeral Home before beginning a long and successful career at the Arkansas U.S. Bankruptcy Court for over 30 years. Peggy traveled all over the United States with the court system and was named the first clerk of the Arkansas U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

While living at the Lakewood House, she made many friends. Playing bridge, dominoes and poker weekly. Being with people made her happy. Her always positive attitude made her loved by all who were blessed to call her friend. And she was always up for going out to eat - Gadwall’s and BJ’s Market Cafe.

Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock at 12:00 PM, Saturday,, March 22, 2025. Visitation and Rosary will start at 11:00 AM, one hour prior to service. Burial will be at the Cotton Plant Memorial Cemetery in Woodruff County, Arkansas.
