Pearl Alice Hathcock Sims age 81, of Arkadelphia, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Arkadelphia. She was born October 22, 1931 in Clark County Arkansas, the daughter of Samuel and Dora Karr Cooper. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawson B. Hathcock; her second husband, Buddy Sims; one son, Johnny Hathcock; one sister, Mary Karr; three brothers, Franklin Cooper, Richard Cooper and William Cooper.
Survivors are three sons, Benjamin Hathcock of Mabelvale, AR, William Hathcock of Malvern, Albert Hathcock of Truman, AR; two daughters, Alice McKa of Malvern, Cindy Sims of Arkadelphia; one brother, Albert Cooper of Gurdon; seven sisters, Ann Sims of Texarkana, Martha Morrison of Prescott, Opal Reeves of Rogers, AR, Rosie Myers of Colt, AR, Molly Shaw of Arkadelphia, Minnie Howell of Gurdon, Sarah Sims of Mansfield, LA; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and an extended family including step-children, step grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 18th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Sanders officiating. Interment will be in Gilchrist Cemetery at Friendship. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
