Pearl Roberts

Pearl Roberts, age 86, of Daisy, died Monday, May 19, 2014. She was born on March 27, 1928 at Daisy, the daughter of William Benton "Bill" Epperson and Addie Sweeden Epperson. On January 22, 1949, she was married to Eddie Roberts who preceded her in death on October 9, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lloyd Epperson, Hiram Epperson, Horace Epperson and Earnest Epperson; and three sisters, Joy Epperson, Louise Epperson and an infant sister. She was a member of the Daisy Church of Christ and retired from Shelby Manufacturing. Pearl loved being outdoors and gardening. Although she didn't have biological children, she was considered another "Mom" to her nieces, nephews and many other children. She is survived by her sister, Verna Moore of Daisy; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Pat Epperson of Murfreesboro; three sisters-in-law, Betty Epperson of Daisy, Jorene Epperson of Greenwood and Louise Green and her husband, Gerald, of Athens; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 23, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Roger Cox and Harold Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Epperson, Billy Epperson, Jeff Epperson, Ronnie Epperson, Brad Moore and Kelley Moore. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
