Pearl Sheets Meeks, age 80 of Hot Springs died Tuesday, Oct 3, 2006 at the Quapaw Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 30, 1925 at Point Cedar, AR the daughter of the late Meyers Franklin and Carola Isabel Small Sheets. She was a housewife, a member of the Mary Clifton Sunday School Class and the Oaklawn United Methodist Church in Hot Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd E. Meeks.
Survivors include one son, Michael Meeks and wife, Debra of Hot Springs; two daughters, Judy Meeks of Hot Springs and Lisa Stearman and husband, Jerry of Mountainburg, AR; three brothers, Porter Sheets of Fordyce, Ralph Sheets of Springfield, MO and Franklin Sheets of Hot Springs; one sister, Melvia Weidar of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren, Brittany and Austin Meeks, Julie and Stephen Stearman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Monday, Oct 9, 2006 at Oaklawn United Methodist Church with Rev. John Walls officiating. Interment will be in the Wesleyan Cemetery near Bismarck under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Oaklawn United Methodist Church.
