A life well lived, Pearl Ayer Grandgeorge Hanneman died on March 16, 2023. Pearl was born on July 3, 1927 to Alfred and Pearl Miller Ayer in Franklin, New Hampshire. She was the baby sister to Irna Foster, Louis A. Ayer, and Nellie Oefelein, all predeceased. Pearl moved to Stuttgart, AR in 1944 to complete high school while living with her sister, whose husband was stationed at Stuttgart Auxiliary Air Base. There she met and married Glen Grandgeorge, her farmer husband until his death in 1973. Their children are Diana Hopper (Ron) Maumelle, AR, David Grandgeorge (Kay) Little Rock, AR, and Glenda Morgan (David) Largo, FL.
Pearl found love again and married Delmar Hanneman (deceased) and moved to England, AR. She gained stepchildren Randy Hanneman (deceased) and Jolene Caldwell. After Delmar's death, she moved to Little Rock in 1992. And later moved to Presbyterian Village where she was very active in all programs and activities there.
During her life she was very active at First Christian Churches, serving as Sunday School teacher, choir member, CWF Offices, youth group sponsors, etc. She also was a member, with Glen, of International Flying Farmers, representing the state as Queen at the 1958 New York Convention. She served all leadership capacities in her Extension Homemakers Club, and particularly shined as a seamstress, hostess, and meals/baking. Everyone loved her pies and rolls! And there was never a new recipe she was not willing to try, which Glen would always rate 1-100 and often caused merriment at the table! She was a 4H club leader. Pearl supported Delmar at Aerial Applicators meetings/conventions and ran their flying service office. And she was an election worker for many years.
Pearl was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. Her life-long hobbies were genealogy and stamp collecting. She enjoyed playing games, especially bridge, Scrabble, and working puzzles and often played games with her 10 grandchildren: Glen (Davis) Griffin, Stephen (Jill) Griffin, Frankie (Kyle) Fuhrman, Katherine (Bart) McKinzie, Russ (Lisa) Grandgeorge, Catherine Grandgeorge and Chris Cialdella, Daniel (Shallon) Richard, Gina (Shawn) Luttrell, Adam (Heather) Curry, and Jonathan Curry. They gave her 17 great grandchildren to love.
