Pearl Childress Buck age 99 of Arkadelphia passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014. She was born August 4, 1914 the daughter of the late Tom and Emma Thomason Childress. She was a former member of the Ladies Sunday School Class at Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward W. Buck, one daughter, Wanda Buck, three brothers, Otha, Roy, and Tillman Childress, two sisters, Margie Childress and Nell Wetherington, two stepsons, Laymon and Ydell Buck and a step son-in-law, Luke Nichols.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Chuck) Burrow, step-daughter, Madge Nichols, grandchildren Mark (Jenny) Coon, Amanda Coon(Allen) Karber, Debbie (John) Bryan, Teresa Buck, Cindy (Joe) Emerson, Sam Nichols, seven great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, one sister, Eunice Holder of California and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, May 28th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Small and Rev. Jeff Krisell officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 PM Wednesday until service time.
Pallbearers will be Mark and Jacob Coon, Allen Karber, Tom Holder, Elendle Buck, and Mike Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers, Judsen Coon, Danny Buck, Don Buck, David Childress, Joe Emerson, Seth Emerson, John Bryan, Spencer Bryan, Stuart Bryan, and Sam Nichols
