Pavery Josephine "Jo" Nordman, 89, of Little Rock, passed away September 7, 2015. Born in McGhee, Arkansas to Joseph and Pavery Brown Taylor, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught her adult Sunday School class for many years. She attended business school in Tulsa and worked in the trucking field, retiring from Cotton Belt Trucking Co. She was a member of the LRFD Auxiliary and of the Gideons. Jo enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting. She was involved in crocheting skull caps and booties for Arkansas Children's Hospital.
Preceded in death by her parents, and two daughters, Dolores Kay and Doris Fay, she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lester V. Nordman, three children, Linda McLarty (Tony), Herman Nordman and Shelli Nordman, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, officiated by Rev. Ed Simpson.
