Pauline (Polly) Daniel Baker, age 81, a long- time resident of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Born Mary Pauline Daniel on October 22, 1934 in Harrison, Arkansas, Polly was the youngest of four children. She grew up in Harrison and Berryville, Arkansas before moving to Little Rock and then eventually to Fayetteville where she began a nearly 40-year career in the real estate business. During her career, she earned numerous honors and awards including becoming the first female President of the Fayetteville Board of Realtors and becoming a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Sales & Listing Club. Polly was a Senior Vice President and Executive Broker for Lindsey & Associates in Fayetteville before retiring in 2012.

Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary Jane Daniel; her husband, James W. Baker, USMC Retired; two brothers, William Daniel and Arvil Daniel; one sister, Othelia Paul; and one grandson, Marcus Jones.

She is survived by her children, Sonny (Jacquie) McKinney, of Van Buren; Jeanie (Jonathan) Head of Little Rock; Melinda (Milford) Bowen of Naples, Florida; and her stepchildren, Don (Bonnie) Baker, and Becky (Terry) Jones of Fayetteville; and Jim (Linda) Baker of Pensacola, Florida. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of both Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Little Rock and Southern Trace Rehabilitation and Care Center in Bryant for their dedication and hard work taking care of Polly. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. Interment will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
