Paul "Gene" Levengood

Paul E. “Gene” Levengood, 74, of Benton, Arkansas passed away August 9, 2021.  He was born May 8, 1947 in Tennessee.

Gene loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force and later worked in marketing.  Gene had a beautiful smile that would light up the room when he walked in.  Family was everything to Gene.  He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.  Gene never let a day go by without telling his wife how much he loved her and how beautiful she was.

Preceding Gene in death are his son, Brian Levengood of Benton; two brothers; and his beloved dog and best friend, Tee Jay.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of fifty-three years, Sandi Levengood of Benton, Arkansas; three grandchildren:  Dagan Levengood and wife Mallori of Star City, Arkansas, Chance Levengood of Benton, and Ennsleigh Levengood of Star City, Arkansas; great-grandchild, Lynnon Levengood; sisters:  Joy Heiss of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Connie Ballard Duncan of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Joyce Sloan of Mississippi; many special nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws; fur baby, Biddie; and many family members and friends who love Gene and will miss him always.

Memorial service will be September 27, 2021 at 7:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
