Mrs. Paula Leming, age 80 of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and formerly of Arkadelphia, Arkansas passed away on December 13, 2024. She was born in 1944, the daughter of Paul and Kathryn.
Mrs. Leming graduated from Eastern Illinois University with degrees in German and Spanish and from Michigan State University with graduate degrees in both. She was a retired German and Spanish professor and a member of the Henderson faculty from 1971 - 2007, where she was the mentor and “other mother” to countless of her students. She was an avid gardener and horseman and was always active in academic and social pursuits. Mrs. Leming was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leming, and her parents.
Her survivors include her daughter, Sarah Leming, and son-in-law, Walter Snyder, of Bernalillo, New Mexico and many loving friends and colleagues.
Visitation will be 10:15-11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mark Woods officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico in memory of Paula Leming.
