Paula Leal

Paula Leal, age 58, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. She was born on December 18, 1961 in Mexico, the daughter of Elfego Leal and Teresa Hernandez. On October 22, 1980, she was married to Inocencio Cruz who preceded her in death on January 17, 2004. She was employed with Lake Hamilton Health and Rehabilitation. She loved being outdoors, taking care of her dogs and being with her grandchildren. She is survived by five children, Alex Leal of Mexico, Yoana Cruz of Amity, Edgar Cruz of Texas, Freddie Cruz of Texas and Jennifer Cruz of Hot Springs; thirteen grandchildren; one brother, Alfredo Leal of Mexico; five sisters, Mary Leal of Mexico, Josefina Bustamante of Texas, Celsa Leal, Enedina Leal and Liberia Leal, all of Glenwood. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 29, 2020, in the Iglesia Adventisa Del Septimo Dia with Pastor Juan Reyna officiating. A wake will begin Friday at 7:00 PM at the church. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
