Paul Peppers, age 81, of White Bluff, Tennessee, formerly of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
He was born on January 5, 1943, in Longview, Washington, the son of William Russell Peppers and Lucy Dell Montgomery Peppers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Treva Gwendolyn Peppers; his daughter, Lacy Peppers Chivers; his two sister-in-laws, Phyllis Jean Golden and Marquetta Peppers; his two brothers, Don Peppers and Dennis Peppers; his sister-in-law Arva Della “Wally” Peppers; and his great-niece, Hope Reid.
Paul married the love of his life, Treva, on January 20, 1968. He was a member of Glenwood First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was a Mason. He served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Over the years he served the community of Glenwood as President of the Glenwood School District School Board. Paul's family was his world. He was a wonderful brother, husband, uncle, father, and grandfather and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Penny Peppers of White Bluff; his son in law Rusty Chivers his two grandchildren, Lila Bleu Chivers and Witt Paul Alden Chivers both of Fairview, TN; his two nieces, Kelli (Tommy) Gannon and Twyla Golden; his four nephews, Ki (Holly) Peppers, Steven (Margret) Peppers, David Peppers, and Tracy (Cindy) Golden; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
In Leiu of flowers the family request for donations to be made to Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood with Bro. Erby Burgess officiating.
Interment will be held at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
