Paul V. Pennington

Paul V. Pennington, age 93, of Glenwood, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022.

Paul was born on May 14, 1929, in Glenwood. He was the son of Harry Pennington and Jessie Pettiejohn Pennington. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise Pennington; his three daughters, LaJuan Loveday, Shannon Ritter, and Onna Leita Paulette.

He was a devoted member of Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Church. Paul was always searching for scriptures in his Bible. He always had a Razorback game on his TV and was an avid fisherman. Paul will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Paul is survived by one daughter, Cherie Simmons of Owensboro, Kentucky; his two granddaughters, Nikkie Caldwell and Bobi Jo Bledsoe, both of Hot Springs; his four grandsons, Steve Norton of Owensboro, Kentucky, Joshua Simmons of Shelton, Nebraska, Don Johns of Hot Springs, and Chris Johns of Hot Springs; four great-grandsons, six great-granddaughters, one great-great-granddaughter, and one great-great-grandson.  

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Pastor Mitch Elrod officiating. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Family Funeral Home in Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.  

Pallbearers will be Kevin Caldwell, Austin Thorton, and members of the Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be the residents and staff at Dougan’s Oak Park and everyone that loved him.
