Paul Bass

Paul L. (Mutt) Bass, 100, of Beebe, Arkansas died May 23, 2017. He was born July 29, 1916, in Butlerville, Arkansas, to Robert (Bus) and Laura Bass.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Mae Bass; sons, Leslie Bass and Donnie Bass; and granddaughter, Deborah Watts Blevins.

He is survived by three children, James Bass, Barbara Bass Watts, and Jerry Bass; seven grandchildren, Gidgett (Bass) Bradford, Linda (Bass) Whitt, Teresa (Bass) White, David Watts, Todd Watts, Sam Bass and Glen Bass; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

"Mutt", as he was lovingly known, loved spending time visiting under the shade tree, telling jokes and stories about his early adventures.

Mutt was a dairyman and farmer for over thirty years. Upon his retirement, he painted for ASU in Beebe, Arkansas. He was well known by most of the widow ladies in Beebe as their number one fixer-upper. Whether it was painting, repairing, or just shooting bull, he was prepared to help them in any way that he could.
