Paul Baker, 54, of North Little Rock passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at the VA Hospital Hospice unit after a brief but courageous battle with dementia. He was born on May 29, 1961 in North Little Rock. Paul was a proud member of the Marine Corps, and retired after 24 years of service to our country.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother Mary Baker and his brother Bruce Baker. He is survived by his wife Sharon, son Jacob, daughters Alex and Dani, step-sons Bryan and Kevin, and granddaughters Sloan and Rowan. He is also survived by his father John Baker, Sr., brothers Fred (Cindy), Peter (Missy), John Jr. (Jessica), Chad (Kelly) and Bill (Wendy), and sisters Ann-Marie Baker, Kate Schuett, Chris Baker, Pat (Bobby) Wilkerson, Theresa Forsyth, Blanche (Greg) Matheny, Maggie (Ben) Wilson, Aggie Garner, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial reception will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 at North Little Rock funeral home, 1921 Main St, North Little Rock; followed by a memorial service at 7:00 P.M.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the VA Hospitals in Little Rock and North Little Rock for their exemplary care for Paul during his final days with us.
