Patti Sacrey

Patti Jo Thomson Sacrey of North Little Rock passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Patti was born on October 24, 1939 in Paris, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Sacrey; her parents, Osbern and Helen Thomson; and her brother, Mike Thomson. She is survived by two sons, John Sacrey (Anita) and James Sacrey (Angelica); granddaughter Madison Johnson; sister-in-law, Linda Thomson; and many treasured friends. She mothered so many people that the names are too numerous to list.

Patti graduated from Rogers High and then from Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor’s in Music Education. She was the first female sousaphone/tuba player at Arkansas Tech. She married the love of her life, Andy, in 1964, and the couple were married for 52 years. She was an elementary school teacher for 30 years and many of her former students remember her fondly. Patti was a gifted musician, a wicked good cook, and most importantly, she was the epitome of kindness and generosity. She made the world a better place and her absence leaves a hole in the hearts of many.

Open visitation will be 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Friday, December 18, 2020 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
