Clarissa Patricia "Patti" Strohl Cogdell, 84, of Little Rock passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019. She was born in DeValls Bluff, AR, on September 7, 1935, to Harold Strohl and Helen (Suskie) Strohl. Patti attended school in Hazen, AR, where she graduated from Hazen High School. She worked on Bill Clinton's Presidential Campaign and worked at the White House for eight years where she was the Director of the White House Conference Center, and as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Veterans Administration. In an interview with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in 1993, Patti said, "There is no way in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought I would be on the White House staff. It's pretty mind-boggling when I think just a little farm girl is here at the White House."

She is survived by her four children who miss her dearly, Debbie Schratz Schoenberger (Alan) of Park City, UT, John K. Schratz of Little Rock, AR, Lisa Schratz Hull (Brian) of Ft. Worth, TX, and David Chandler Schratz (Diana) of Arlington, TX; seven grandchildren, David Harold Schratz, Stephen Ruegg, Elise Hull, Mariel Hull, Caroline Hull, Christina Hull and Laura Schratz; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, Carroll Strohl, and her beloved companion of 22 years, George Allen Sutherland.

Family and friends are invited to a reception and celebration of Patti's life on November 13, 2019, at the 42 bar and table at the Clinton Presidential Center from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Animal Village, 4500 Kramer St., Little Rock, AR 72204, or to a charity of your choice.
