Patsy Oglesby

Patsy "Pat" Lee Jolly Oglesby, 85, of Little Rock, passed away March 25, 2015. She was born in Megargel, Texas to the late Nolton and Helen Jolly. Pat was a graduate of Little Rock High School. In 1949, she married Gene Oglesby and was his loving wife for 65 years until Gene's death this year.

In her younger years, Pat worked at J.C. Penney Co. Later she became a valuable member of the volunteer staff at Doctor's Hospital for 20 years. She cherished her work at her church, Faith United Methodist, where she was a member of the Aquilla and Priscilla Sunday School Class and an active member of United Methodist Women. She enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes and cookbooks, playing dominoes with church friends, and working in her yard with her flowers.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gene. She is survived by one brother, Don Jolly and his wife, Pat of North Little Rock, one sister, Janelle Mergenschroer of Conway, as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, officiated by Rev. Harriett Akins-Banman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 9820 W. Markham, Little Rock, AR 72205.
