Patsy Ruth Taylor-Gore, 67, of Little Rock, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010. She was born in North Little Rock on June 15, 1942 to the late Laura and Joseph Taylor. She attended elementary school at Pulaski County Training School in McAlmont and graduated from there following its name change to Harris High School. She began to further her education at Arkansas Baptist College, then moved to Los Angeles, California where she studied extensive sewing techniques and alterations. Upon her return to Arkansas, she attended Philander Smith College, majoring in Family Consumer Sciences. Her education there further enhanced her skills, enabling her to open her own business with a large clientele of customers.
Patsy worked for United Cerebral Palsy for ten years where she was a devoted foster parent, nurturing two young men, Sam Delaney and Jeremy Allen. She accepted Christ at an early age and grew to become a learned Bible Scholar, studying under Dr. Fredrick K. Price at Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles. Before she became ill, Patsy joined Exalters of Christ Ministries International under the leadership of Pastor Rod McFadden.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Jewel Taylor of Pomona, California, Antinette Taylor of Jacksonville and Alma T. Gipson of North Little Rock; one brother, Joseph (Dorothy) Taylor of Jacksonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends whom she loved dearly.
