Patrick Owen

Patrick Daniel "Danny" Owen, 44, of North Little Rock, beloved son, "Bubba", uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend began his journey on June 15, 1971. An aspiring chef and foodie extraordinaire, frequent traveler, daring adventurer, amateur photographer, and self-proclaimed expert on everything, Danny lived life to the fullest. A computer guru who made his living as an "IIS COE Segment Leader" which is a fancy way of saying Center of Excellence Advanced Consultant, he was one of the foremost experts in the parallel framework of IBM Information Server ("IIS"). He enhanced the lives of so many people with his quick wit, delectable entrees, sharp intellect, and his kind and caring heart. His amazing journey ended peacefully and way too soon on January 24, 2016.
Danny will be forever loved and remembered by his parents, Joe and June Owen of Sherwood; his sister, Vicki Owen McCourt and husband Keith of Sherwood; his nephews, Timothy and Zachary McCourt of Sherwood; a host of close cousins and family, a multitude of friends, and his four-legged pal Captain.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother Karen, his "MeMe" Virginia McCool, and his best bud Boo.
Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or your local animal shelter.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 28 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Burial will be in Arkansas Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27 at the funeral home.
