Patricia "Trisha" Bates

Patricia “Trisha” Lee Bates passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, in Little Rock after suffering a major heart attack on September 5th.

Trisha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nothing provided more pleasure to her than family — especially time with her grandsons, Jack and Thomas.

Born April 15, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Trisha is survived by her husband Larry, son Justin Bates and his wife Stacy of Fort Smith, daughter Meagan Bates Hoyt, husband Eric, grandsons Jack Hoyt and Thomas Hoyt of Springdale, mother Marian Dickey of Searcy and sister Becky Holsted and husband Bruce of North Little Rock.

She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Dickey.

Trisha was professionally gifted designing many residential homes in Pine Bluff and managed a title insurance company in Fort Smith. She served as President of the Pine Bluff Junior League and a Girl Scout troop leader.

Trisha loved cooking and hosting holiday gatherings for her family. She enjoyed trips to the beach with her family, daily phone calls with her mother and children and road trips with her sister, which she considered “window therapy.”

The family will have a memorial service 10:30 am Friday October 8 at Lakewood Park Pavillion in North Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made in support of feeding families, kids, veterans, and seniors in need through the River Valley Regional Food Bank.

Donations may be made online at rvrfoodbank.org .
