Patricia Ruth Wofford

Patricia Ruth Wofford, 83, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025. She was born on June 27, 1941, in Searcy, Arkansas, to the late Wesley and Mary Sparrow.

Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She dedicated her life to her family and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Bill Wofford (Lindsay), Diana Gray (Scott), and Lisa Fletcher (Chris); her grandchildren, Chelsea McGill (Jimmy), Jacob Fletcher (Cornelia), Sam Fletcher (Grace), Adam Fletcher (Alani), Sydney Wofford, and Ann Marie Wofford; and her great-grandchildren, Carter Reynolds McGill, Willa Fletcher, Sparrow Fletcher, and Ruth Fletcher. Patricia also leaves behind her beloved sister, Rita Fleckenstein (Bob).

As a young girl, Pat sang and performed on a local Little Rock radio station, sparking a lifelong love of music. She enjoyed all things musical, especially the piano. Her appreciation for song and performance brought joy to her and those around her.

Pat was also an avid Razorback fan and had a deep love for all sports. She enjoyed “Calling the Hogs” and sharing her enthusiasm for sports with others. She retired after spending many years in accounting for the Fort Smith and Little Rock School Districts. Known for her kind and considerate nature, Pat in later years became affectionately known as “The Nana”. Her selflessness and ability to make everyone feel special will never be forgotten.

Patricia had a passion for cooking, especially baking. She even baked the meals for her dachshund. Her cookies and meals at all the horse shows made her everyone’s favorite Nana. She loved nothing more than preparing a huge family meal, bringing everyone together around the table to share good food, laughter, and love. Known for being able to cook something fabulous out of nothing, her kitchen was the heart of her home.

A private Celebration of Life will be held to honor Patricia’s memory.
