Patricia “Patsy” Ann McCoy, 65, of Mayflower, gained her angel wings and is reunited with Jesus and her parents Kenneth and Marie Jerrell. She left this earth on Sunday, January 15th, 2023. She was surrounded by her family who deeply loved and adored their mom and granny.
She was her daughter’s best friend and vice-versa. Patsy grew up in Mayflower and made a life for her family in the community. She was her children and grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader and involved in all the things they loved to do and that brought her such joy.
Patsy was born on November 16th, 1957. Her husband, Jeff, adored her and together they enjoyed spending time together and going to Turpentine Creek, or anywhere else she wanted him to drive her to.
She is survived by her children; grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many great-nieces and nephews; son, Kenneth Papera, and his wife Carla of Conway; daughter, Angelique Kellum, and her husband Chris of Conway AR; along with their children Caleb Kellum and Isaiah Papera; stepson, Lindsey McCoy of Mayflower, Ar. and his children, Ethan McCoy and Austyn McCoy; brother, Floyd Jerrell (Sherry) of Bee Branch, AR; sisters, Vivian Capps (Charles) and Cheryl Brannon (Hal).
A ‘wild-child’ growing up in the 70’s, she always said how everything changed for her when she had her children. Her family was her sole focus, and she worried over and took care of them until the end, usually to the exclusion of her own needs.
Patsy was a free spirit, she believed in flexibility, oddifications’, and change. She valued loyalty, honesty, and authenticity. She believed that everyone needs a harmless outlet for stress. She struggled with the concept of tough love and was fiercely independent and private. She loved her entire family despite their quirks and disfunction. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, resented them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them. She attended a wonderful little church that she just loved right down the road from her home that she lived in since she was 8 years old. Jesus Name Christian Fellowship, she loved the whole book of Psalms, but Revelations was her favorite.
She will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this loss. Life will never be the same.
Arrangements entrusted to Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.
