Patricia Ann Gower transitioned to her heavenly home on March 29, 2023 at 8:10am. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 11, 1940 to Cleburne and Mary (Henshaw) Whitehead. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
She is survived by her five children: Craig (Cynthia) Castrellon, Tonia (Henry) Bartlett, Eric (Melody) Castrellon, Lisa (Daniel) Pollnow, and Kimberly (Kent) Byers. Known as “G” to 11 Grandchildren: Bradley, Ryan, Austin, Bryan, Joy, Adrianne, Jubilee, Annabelle, Ethan, Avalon, and Andi. “GG” to 9 great-grandchildren and loved by nieces, nephews and her little 4-legged sidekick we all know as Kia.
Throughout her life, Pat had earned much respect for her hospitality, faith in God, humility, sincerity and the ability to conquer any challenges life threw her way. She was a gentle force. Admired for her generosity and love for others she was known by “Grandma” to just about anyone and everyone. She had a natural gift to break out in a cute dance or song at any given moment. (And my, oh my, what a Joy to see and hear.) She knew how to light up a room with her presence.
She was a crossword connoisseur, a baker master, artist and gardener extraordinaire and at the end of the day—loved to humble her family in a good, late-night game of scrabble. This is exactly how we will remember her and how her legacy will live on.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 22nd at 1:00pm at Smith-Little Rock Funeral Home. Reception immediately following.
