Patricia Geary

Patricia Ann Geary, born May 11, 1942, was a lovely woman who loved and was loved by many. She had a heart that was almost too big for her to carry. She worked with many organizations including, but not limited to, The Girl Scouts, The Boy Scouts, 4-H, Modern Woodmen of America, and The North Little Rock Mayor's Youth Council. She also worked with and helped several churches. She was a woman who gave most of her time to others and saved little for herself. She was a kind and loving soul who cared for others unyieldingly, and would give the shirt off her back if asked.
She married James Carroll Geary on August 28, 1959, they had many happy years together; none which they enjoyed more than when they were raising their children and helping in the upbringing of their grandchildren. She taught many people many things and spent her time here on earth caring for others. If asked, all those who knew her the best would say that her passions were God and children and helping those that needed it the most. She was very active in her church and carried the Lord's word with her everywhere she went.
On a personal note, I would say that nobody in the world had a better grandmother than my brother, my cousins, and I. Other than us, many found her a caring adoptive grandmother. If God put her here for any reason, that reason is clear; to be the greatest grandmother the world has ever seen.
Patsy was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Edmonson, her mother, Maybelle Edmonson, her son, Daniel Damon Geary as well as three sisters, Faye Tinnin, Billy Gills and Dee Henson.
She is survived by and severely missed by her husband, James Carroll Geary of North Little Rock; her children, Connie Claire Geary of North Little Rock, James Craig Geary and his wife, Shannon Linn Geary of Little Rock, Shelly Williams Fulmer of North Little Rock, and Ronni Linn Geary of North Little Rock; her grandchildren, James Chase Geary and his girlfriend, Lindsey Ann-Saylor Sonnamaker of Denton, TX, Jamie Beth Geary of Little Rock, Buster Erick Geary and wife Amanda Geary of Centerton, Aaron Carroll Geary and his girlfriend, Courtney Marie Norman of Springfield, OR, Trey Austin Geary of Little Rock, Jeremy Cole Fulmer of North Little Rock and Jeffrey Gage Fulmer of North Little Rock and one soon to arrive great-grandson, Daxton James Geary of Centerton; four sisters, Ruby Higgs of Jacksonville, Maxine Carson of Minnesota, Ellen Schuitt of Nevada and Mary Louise Williams of North Little Rock along with many other friends and relatives.
Patricia went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2010. She fought valiantly against Breast Cancer for eight long months. We praise the Lord that she suffers no longer and is with him now and has gone home to see her son, Daniel.
