Patricia Ann (Dinkins) “Patsy” Walker

January 30, 1952- February 3, 2025

Patricia “Patsy” Walker passed away Monday, February 3, with her loving sister Kay, and niece and nephew Brandi and Jeff by her side. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee January 30, 1952 to James Albert and Dorothy Dinkins.

Patsy grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended Treadwell School for twelve years. She was a cheerleader, Miss Treadwell, and involved in several philanthropic clubs. Following high school graduation, she attended the University of Memphis. Her education led her to a career in various sales positions with several companies over the years. She was most loved for her acceptance of everyone, her generous heart, and the joy she received from entertaining family and friends. If you were invited to her table, you knew she loved you.

In 1982, Patsy married the love of her life, Bill. Many memorable adventures were spent during their 41 years together. Their journey began in Memphis, followed by a brief time in New Orleans. It was a fun transfer where many new friends were gained. In 1984, Bill accepted a new position that brought them to Little Rock, Arkansas. This new transition became “home” for them. In 1992, Bill and Patsy opened Walker’s Bar-B-Que in North Little Rock and maintained a successful business together until retiring in 2009.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill Walker. She leaves to cherish her memory, sister Kay Ladd of Fort Smith, niece and nephew Brandi and Shannon Gilliaum and their children Tanner and Cade of Greenwood, nephew and niece Jeff and Dianna Ladd and their children Reece and Knox of Fort Smith. She also leaves her stepdaughter Kippi Walker, grandson Dane (Charlye) Walker, granddaughter Chloe Walker, stepdaughter Kelly Leggett, grandson Alex Leggett, and 3 great grandchildren. She was blessed with a host of friends who were like family, and she will truly be missed by all.

The family will host a Celebration of Life memorial at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 15th at First Presbyterian Church, 800 Scott Street, Little Rock, AR 72202.
