Patricia N. Ambrose, 72, died Sunday evening, October 2, 2011. She was born in Windsor, Vermont on February 10, 1939, the daughter of Patrick L. and Norma (Piper) Ambrose. She was schooled in Montpelier, Vermont and graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett, New Hampshire and Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, serving as chief dietitian in military hospitals in England and the U.S. She retired in 1992 as the Director of Food Services at Doctor's Hospital in Little Rock.
She was active in St. Theresa's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Formerly she was a member of the Little Rock Chapter of Sweet Adelines International.
Survivors include her many friends in Little Rock and Morrilton; her siblings Barbara Garand of Yamhill, Oregon, John Ambrose of Alexandria, Virginia, Martha Ambrose of Katmandu, Nepal and Sheila Betit of Cross Junction, Virginia; 6 nieces and nephews; and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 6219 Baseline Road, Little Rock, will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date. The family may be contacted at [email protected].
