Patricia McCain Allen, of Mountain View, AR, passed away January 27, 2013. She was born December 23, 1930, in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of Dr. James Herndon McCain and Evelyn McCain. She is survived by brothers, James McCain of Charleston, WV and John McCain of LaConner, WA; her husband, James A. Allen, children: Bill Allen (Debbie), John Allen (Dale) and Ann Denny (Norman), and daughter-in-law, Mona Allen; grandchildren: Holly Norwood, Rachel Gammill, Kristi Allen, Sara Denny, Dru Denny, Jimmy Allen and Charlie Allen and great-grandchildren: Kylie Norwood and Grayson Gammill. She was predeceased by her son, James P. Allen.
Pat's 82 years were filled loving her family, enjoying lifetime friendships, and serving in her churches. For the past 19 years she and Jim, her husband of 61 years, have enjoyed "living the dream" as they shared their retirement years in Mountain View, AR. One of their greatest joys in life were their travels together as they visited 49 states and Canada.
Visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home Wednesday, January 30 at 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be in the First United Methodist Church, 116 E. Jefferson St., Mountain View, AR on Saturday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Park Hill Presbyterian Church (NLR) or the First United Methodist Church (Mtn. View).
