Pat Pinson, age 77, of Langley, died Thursday, February 26, 2015. He was born on January 27, 1938, at Langley, the son of Tom Pinson and Bess Morphew Pinson. On March 4, 1960, he was married to Christene Brett. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Billy Ray Pinson; his parents; his son-in-law, Donnie Lee Seals; and five siblings, Vernell Risner, Russie Taylor, Lois Dean, Mike Pinson and Susie Ledbetter. A farmer, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns and reading western novels. He served in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of the Buffalo Gap Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Christene Pinson of Langley; two children and their spouses, Kathy and Brent Thompson of Monroe, Oklahoma and Bobby Wayne and Phoebe Pinson of Langley; four grandchildren, Melinda Pounds and her husband, Brian, of Langley, Ricky Don Seals of Monroe, Oklahoma, Zackary Wayne Pinson and Desmond Lee Pinson, both of Langley; two step-grandchildren, Hollie Thompson and Hallie Thompson, both of Monroe, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Pounds and Jacie Seals; four brothers and their spouses, Jimmy and Jean Pinson of Jonesboro, Jerry and June Pinson of Dierks, Derry Pinson of Athens and Jackie and Lynn Pinson of Umpire; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Ledbetter of Caddo Gap; his sister-in-law, Sandra Pinson of Daisy; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Wanda Brett of Wickes; several nieces and nephews; and a family friend, Mike Radimer of Hot Springs. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 2, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Jack Herring officiating. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
