Pamela Mills passed peacefully from this life into her eternal home on September 23, 2023, at the age of 76. She was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and a beloved friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Richard, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and her parents Honey and Russell D. Harrington of Little Rock, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughters, Kara Oosterhous (Tim) of Glenwood, Arkansas, and Jenny Williams (Richard) of Coppell, Texas; her five grandchildren, Nate, Zac and Ben Oosterhous and Matthew and Molly Williams; her siblings Russell D. Harrington Jr. (Donna) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Sharron Ledrick (Jimmy) of Fort Worth, Texas and Mary Ann Bishop (Jim) of Mandeville, Louisiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pam spent her entire life serving others. She was the coordinator of all things in the Mills household including family dinners and planning family gatherings. Pam graduated from Nettleton High School in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and she graduated from Ouachita Baptist University where she met her future husband Richard in the cafeteria line. Pam later received her Master’s in Education from Henderson State University. While her daughters were in junior high and high school, she could be found in the stands at football games or gymnastics meets. She and Richard were longtime members of First Baptist Church Arkadelphia. They served numerous years as children’s Sunday School teachers and Pam sang in the choir. Pam enjoyed family vacations to the beach and mountains as well as traveling to experience new places.
In her most recent years, her greatest joy was being her grandchildren’s “Nana” and keeping up with all their activities and adventures. Four years ago, she moved to Glenwood to live next door to her family. She recently joined First Baptist Church Glenwood.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Pastor Erby Burgess of First Baptist Church Glenwood will be officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
