Pamela Harris
Pamela Leigh Harris, 59, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away July 11, 2018. She was born December 14, 1958 in Abilene, Texas to Arlan and Bobbye Geraldine (Allison) Harris.
Pamela was a follower of Jesus. She adored her grandchildren and spending time with them. Pamela had a fierce heart and loved everyone she met. Her mother was very special to her as well as her dog, Niles. Pamela was crafty and willing to try to make anything-even if she could not master it. She loved children and felt a purpose in being a paraprofessional- helping special needs children in high school. Pamela absolutely loved Elvis and had a whole wall in her home decorated with his records, pictures and posters from his younger days. Her family will keep her favorite saying, "Oh My Lanta", going for generations to come.
Pamela was preceded in death by her step-father, Don Mashburn; step-sister, Pam Mashburn; and brother-in-law, Scotty Childers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Brandon Dobbs of Benton, Arkansas; Jennifer Jackson and husband D.J. of Benton; Matthew Dobbs and wife Elizabeth of Benton; and Taylor Dobbs of Hawaii; seven grandchildren: Dalton Dobbs, Aaron Dobbs, Hannah Jackson, Trey Jackson, Rebekah Jackson, Hunter Dobbs, and Abigail Dobbs; father, Arlan Harris; mother, Jerry Mashburn; siblings: Steve Harris and wife Brenda of Alexander, Arkansas; Joel Harris and wife Patti of Tye, Texas, Debbie Childers of Merkel, Texas, Chris Mashburn and wife Jenny of Austin, Texas, Kim McPhearson and husband Bill of Maui, Hawaii, and Bill Mashburn of Alaska; and a host of family and friends who love Pamela and will miss her always.
Reception visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Thursday, July 19, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton. Celebration of Life service, officiated by Pastor Dave Hughey, will follow at 11:00 AM.
