Ottis Cato, age 91, entered into the presence of Jesus on March 25, 2022 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas after a battle with Alzheimers. He was born August 2, 1930 to Edgar and Pearl Ruple Cato in Augusta, AR., the youngest of two sons. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1948. He joined the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He loved spending time with his family. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially deer hunting. He could also grow a beautiful vegetable garden.
He was a faithful member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Zanette, his four children, Melanie (James) Tiner, Darren and Duane (Tonya) Cato, and Phyllis (Billy) Courtney; eight grandchildren, Peyton, Madison , Lacee , Riley, Hunter, Jeremy, Chad and Amanda and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vernon Cato.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church with Brother Dave Huey and Brother Steven Tiner officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church at 12:00pm. Pallbearers are Allen, Gary, Ronnie, Jeff, Todd, Tracy and Tim Scarborough and Aaron Briner
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice Home Care, 2200 South Bowman Little Rock, AR 72211 or the Senior Adult Ministry of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, PO Box 31510, Little Rock, AR 72260.
