Otha (O.G.) Benton

Otha Glyn (O. G.) Benton, 89, of North Little Rock, Arkansas was called home on October 4, 2020 to be with Jesus and reunite with his beloved wife, Wilma Jean.  Otha was born on August 25, 1931 to the late Sid and Emma Benton of Beebe, Arkansas.  His family and friends will always remember his beautiful smile, sense of humor and love for his Jesus and family.

Otha graduated from Beebe Agricultural College and served his county in the Army during the Korean War.  Otha retired from American Airlines after 32 years.  His truest passion was his family.  He was our hero, our eagle and our strength.

Otha is preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Emma Benton; his wife Wilma Jean; two brothers, Ellis and Carthel Benton; and his grandson Jason Jones.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three children, Larry Benton and wife Becky, Sherry Jones and husband Rick and Debbie Gerety and husband John; his sister Cleo Liles; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many family members and friends.
