Otha Lane ?Buddy? Evans, 89, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009. He was retired from Goodwill Industries, former owner-operator of Protho Gulf Service Station, was a Turbin Millwright and a member of Masonic Lodge #319.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Otha Lee and Denise Evans, of North Little Rock and Thomas C. and Susan Evans, of Arlington, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Brussel) and George Herndon, of North Little Rock; brother, Jack M. Evans, of Cabot; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Helen (Smith) Evans and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
