Oscar Schaefer, Jr.

Oscar Schaefer, Jr., 83, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019. He was born May 31, 1936 in Hartford, Wisconsin to the late Oscar and Viola Schaefer, Sr. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, including the Korean War.

Oscar is survived by his daughters, Valerie Jett, Bonnie Hatcher (John), Karen Ashcraft (Mike) and Vivian Brown (Kenney); grandchildren, Chad Hilton, John Hatcher II, Danielle Hatcher, Michael Ashcraft, Jr., Shannon Centers, Jeremiah Ashcraft, Rachel Ashcraft, Natalie Wankum, Samantha Smith and Joseph Brown; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his caregiver, Rosalind Heard.

A visitation will be from Sunday, August 4, 2019, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Funeral service with military honors will be Monday, August 5, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park,
