Orville E. Buck age 65, of Arkadelphia, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at his home. He was born July 8, 1949 in Fendley, AR the son of Orble and Lennie Kirksey Buck. He was a Senior Forrest Tech for International Paper and Georgia Pacific for over 40 years. He was retired from the U.S. Army Reserve, member of Arkadelphia Masonic Lodge #381, served on the Clark County Quorum Court for 10 years, served as Fire chief for the Degray Volunteer Department for over 30 years. He was a member and Deacon of the Degray Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, JoAnn Taylor Buck, two daughters, Kimberly Ann Buck Gray and Shelly Deann Buck Ross both of Arkadelphia, two adopted grandchildren, Samantha Breann Buck and Jayla Nicole Buck, 4 other grandchildren, Darren Shaw, Krista Gray, Jessica and Allysa Ross, his mother, Lennie Buck of Arkadelphia, one brother, Randy Buck of Mabelvale, two sisters, Janie Raschke of Bauxite and Judy McDaniel of East End, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, December 11th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Young and Pastor Greg Kirksey officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
