Oren Don Rea, 82, of Benton, Arkansas passed away June 8, 2022. He was born December 20, 1939 in Alexander, Arkansas to the late Oren Kyle and Donnie Ruth (Hester) Rea.
Oren loved his family and did anything he could to provide all they needed. He adored his mother-in-law, Wilma Wilbanks. Fishing was life to Oren. He was a Bass master and never missed a tournament in over ten years. Oren was also a master contactor and built may homes in Saline County. He was the founder of No Name Bar-B-Que back in the 80s and 90s. Oren served in the United States Air Force for four years. He loved listening to music and could play just about any instrument-especially the guitar. Oren was a pastor at Forrest Hills Baptist Church for several years. He retired from Reynolds after working over thirty-eight years. Oren was one of the most respected members of Saline County and will be missed always.
Oren is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Juanita (Rae) Holiday.
Oren leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Donna Simmons, Kyle, Rea, and Sharon Duvall; grandchildren: Brooke Howe (Travis), Julia Hamilton (Kade), Travis Simmons (Brittney), Lyndee Simmons, Tristen Rea, Ashton Rea, Heather Kingery, and Dustin Kingery; great-grandchildren: Justin, Aimee, Lil Kade, Alex, Briar, Skylar, Alexa, and Noah; great-great grandchildren: Tatum and Annie; sisters, Dorothy Glidewell and Laverne Hodges; nephews: Tim Holiday, Tom Holiday, Dale Glidewell, Dennis Glidewell, Emory Hodges, and Ashley Hodges; nieces, Jonita and Rita; and a host of family and friends who love him and will miss him dearly.
