Orbazene Strother age 88, of Midway, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 in Arkadelphia. She was born November 21, 1932 to Dewey Austin Ledbetter and Oma (Ledbetter) Hamm McNeely. Orbazene was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She loved to read, enjoyed sewing, taking care, and feeding her birds. Her family was especially important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benjamin Clayton Strother a stepfather, R. G. McNeely; a grandson, Eric Wayne Strother; three sisters, Evangeline Bailey, Inez Manning, and Bobbie Simmons; two stepbrothers, Benny McNeely and Harold McNeely.
Survivors are her children, Larry (Anita) Strother of Antioch, David Strother of Midway and Linda (Mark) Wells of Friendship; four grandchildren, Shana (Jeremy) Thomason, Rebecca (Carley) Strother, Logan Wells and Roxanna (Hunter) Bobel; three great-grandchildren, Shelby Strother, Gavin Thomason and Holley Strother; one sister, Carolyn (James) Pennington of Malvern; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial graveside service will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 1 st at Gilchrist Cemetery at Friendship.
