Opal Shuffield
Opal Shuffield age 85 of Bismarck died Tuesday, March 20, 2012. She was born May 3, 1926 the daughter of George and Anna Thomas Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband C. O. Shuffield and two sons-in-law Jerry Groves and Marshall Weatherford. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Shawn Shuffield and his wife Michelle of Malvern, two daughters, Delores Groves of Malvern and Cecilia Weatherford of Bismarck, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, March 23rd in the DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Bryan, Blaine and Barry Weatherford, Riley Shuffield, Lanny Allen, David Mitchell, and Wayne Cook.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 628 Malvern Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71913.
