Opal Kathline Webb Orr, 92, passed from this life to her eternal rest, December 1, 2007 in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Orr was a resident of Little Rock and North Little Rock for over 50 years. She was born in Hermitage, November 16, 1915 to Rev. Floyd and Mary Webb. She was a Christian and Assembly of God and a carrier for the Arkansas Democrat for many years, and then she worked in laundry services until her retirement. She worked in a defense plant in Ft. Worth, Texas in World War II. She was affectionately called ?Rosie The Riviter.?
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son; her husband, Newt Orr; her brother, Doyle and wife Robena; brother-in-law, Junius Osbon; three nieces and three nephews. She is survived by three sisters, Aimee Osbon, of North Little Rock, Christine Johnson, of Oklahoma City and Fae Rotton, of El Dorado; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
