Opal Hicks

Opal A. Daughenbaugh Hicks of Little Rock passed away on January 3, 2009. She was born to Earl Clyde and Lille Bell Whitwell Daughenbaugh on October 21, 1914. She was a home maker and a member of the South Highland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter: Ruth E Word and Son-in-law Bill Word of Houston. Sisters: Margaret Linsley, Lillie Jean Palmer, Granddaughters: Linda Karen Callihan, Deborah Lynn White, Tamela Jo Elliott. Great grandchildren: Gary Shane McCoslin, Travis Claude Elliott, Shea Lynn Funk, Franze Hunter Elliott. four great great grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her brothers and sisters: Gladys Walloch, Vivian Chapman, Dallas and Edgar Daughenbaugh, Lois Hayman, Kathryn Hubbs, and beloved Great-grandson Jason D. Vance.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 6 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00pm., at the Funeral Home. Funeral services are Wednesday January 7 2009, at 10:00am., at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 (501)-224-2200.
