Oliver Perry Appling, Jr., 58, of Benton, Arkansas passed away December 10, 2016. He was born May 10, 1958 in Little Rock, Arkansas to O.P. and Elsie Appling, Sr.
Perry was a 1976 graduate of Benton High School. He is the owner of Perry Appling Auction House. Perry loved rodeos and chuck wagon races.
Perry leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Shari Thompson Appling of Benton, Arkansas; son, Robert Bodie Appling of Benton; parents, O.P. Appling, Sr., and Elsie Appling of Benton; grandchildren, Layten Ledbetter and Braxton Ledbetter; step-children, Candice Collins of Scott, Arkansas, Zachary Ledbetter, Justin Ledbetter, and Benjamin Ledbetter all of Benton; brothers, Alan Appling and wife Tonya of Benton, Mark Appling and wife Glenda of Bauxite, Arkansas, Michael Appling and wife Yoleah of Mablevale, Arkansas; one niece; six nephews; two great nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends who loved Perry and will miss him always.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas 72015. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Mt.
