Oleta Lorene Kimbrough

Oleta Lorene (Dean) Kimbrough went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was born November 23, 1934 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Ira and Rhoda Dean. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Stephen Kimbrough, her youngest daughter, Terri Kimbrough, two brothers, and 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughter Lori (Kimbrough) Henrichs and her husband, Marc, one sister, Bea (Dean) Roy, several brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, and many nephews and nieces. 

 Oleta met her husband, Steve, in Northwest Arkansas while he was in college, and she was working for the hospital. They were married from 1962 to 2020 when Steve passed away. During their marriage, they moved to Pine Bluff, Little Rock, Mandeville, LA, and then back to North Little Rock, AR.

 Oleta worked for Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR until she married Steve. She spent many years raising 2 girls and was actively involved in school events and their church, where she taught Sunday School and participated with Women’s Ministries.

 Oleta had a quiet, gentle soul, and befriended a lot of people, both old and young. Her best quality was her generosity. She helped many people over the years with her time and talents, and financially when she could. In her later years, she took care of her husband during a long illness, so she could not participate in many activities. However, she still gave to the church, missions, and family and friends who needed help.

 Visitation will be 12:00 – 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a memorial service immediately following.
