Ola Ann Gwin McKenzie, 83, of North Little Rock, passed away into Glory on Saturday, October 22, 2022.  “Granny Ann” as she was known to many, was beloved by her family and friends for her jubilant spirit, infectious laugh, and warm & enveloping hugs.  She was a member at Rose City Immanuel Baptist Church where she sang joyfully in the church choir, taught Sunday School & Vacation Bible school for many years.  Later, Rose City Immanuel transitioned to Willow Beach Baptist Church, where Ann continued her spiritual journey.  Ann was also a retired manufacturing supervisor at Maybelline for over 25 years, and Timex for 20 years prior.  Ann also operated her personal cake baking & decorating business and was a lifetime member of the PTA (Parent Teacher Association.)

Survivors are her children; Randy Norman (Veronica) of Mayflower, April McKenzie-Moreland (Kevin) of Orlando, FL and John McKenzie (Jennifer) of Conway; sister, Suzy Burson (Bill) of Norphlet, Russell Gwin (Gwen) of Cabot, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and many other beloved family members.

 

 

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 29 from 11:00-1:00pm with a service to follow at the Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm. Interment to immediately follow at Sumner Cemetery.
