Odis "Bud" Claiborne, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born June 28, 1940, at McRae, Arkansas, to Pauline and Buster Claiborne, and passed away December 2, 2010, after a brief illness. He was a graduate of McRae High School and attended ASU. He worked for Danco Construction in North Little Rock for 46+ years and was well known and highly respected in the utility construction business. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and one of his greatest joys was teaching his grandsons how "to catch the Big One". Buddy never met a stranger and was loved dearly by all who knew him. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, granddaddy, brother and friend.
Survivors include the love of his life, wife Vivian Claiborne of Beebe; two children, Terri Lancaster and husband Hunter of Monroe, Louisiana and David Claiborne of Beebe; a sister, Mary Lynn Claiborne of McRae; two grandchildren, Ethan Lancaster of Monroe, Louisiana and Logen Claiborne of Beebe.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2010, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with Bro. Robin McClure officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery, McRae. Pallbearers will be Gary Wayne Davidson, Darren Bednar, Danny Wright, Jack Jackson, Pedro Gonzales and Chris Fason.
