Odene Draper
Odene Draper, 89, of Little Rock died Tuesday, March 2, 2010. She was born in Hazen, Arkansas on January 12, 1921, the daughter of Thomas E. Sparks and Ida M. (Richmond) Sparks. She grew up in Lonoke and North Little Rock and was married at age 17. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Ralph W. Draper. She is survived by her children, Tom and his wife Jackie; Susie (Jones) and her husband Cleve; Murray and his wife Janice. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Judy Kesterson, Pat Plegge, Tom Draper II, Missy Phillips, Greg Jones, Murray Draper Jr., Leah Hickey and Paula Adams as well as 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 909 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 or a favorite charity.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170 and funeral service will be held following the visitation at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Ed Simpson officiating. Pallbearers will be Tom Draper II, Murray Draper Jr., Greg Jones, Bobby Kesterson, Bryan Phillips and Gene Boydston. Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park.
