Ntxhee Sing “Mayo” Yang, age 28, of Waldron, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
She was born on December 26, 1992, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the third child to Chou Thao Yang and Choua Lee.
Sing was a 2011 graduate of Caddo Hills High School and later earned her associate degree in nursing at the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain. Sing was employed as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Booneville for three years before being diagnosed with leukemia in May of 2020.
Sing married the love of her life, Eric Vatsana, in September of 2017. Together, they have two beautiful daughters, Nayely and Emma Rose Vatsana.
Sing had a contagious smile and bubbly personality. Everywhere she went, she made plenty of friends. She was definitely a dutiful daughter, a loving wife, an amazing mother and sister, a kickass nurse and fisherwoman, and an incredible friend to all.
Sing is survived by her husband, Eric Vatsana; her two daughters, Nayely and Emma Rose, all of Waldron; her parents, Chou Thao Yang and Choua Lee of Black Springs; her siblings, See, Xai, Peter, Criskim and Sky Yang; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pounh and Somphone Vatsana; her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anna, David and Sonphet Vatsana; and several extended family members and an abundance of friends.
A traditional Hmong funeral service will be held Friday, March 19, 2021, 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM, and Saturday, March 20, 2021, 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.
Interment will be in Black Springs Cemetery.
