Novella Benoit

Novella Benoit, 81, of Saline County was born on Feb. 10, 1929, in Steve, AR. She died Saturday at the St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hattie Spears; four brothers; three sisters; and one grandchild, Shawn Fox.
Novella is survived by two daughters, Becky Shaw of Bryant and Karen Ewing of Glen Rose; four grandchildren, Kelly LaMere, Jennifer DuVall and husband Jaret, Michael LaMere, and Nick Gracey; three great grandchildren, Madison and Malorie DuVall and Caleb LaMere; many nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Novella loved singing and playing gospel music and was of the Assembly of God faith. She was known not only to her grandchildren as Grandma but to her nieces, nephews and most everyone who knew her. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday September 1, 2010 at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Ten-Mile Cemetery.
Pallbears will be Robert Parker, Robbie Parker, Wayne Corner, Jaret DuVall, David Collins, and Tommy Lacey. Honorary Pallbears; Tony Gentry and Frankie Lacey.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
