Norton Kaut, age 100, of Mount Ida, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
He was born on November 8, 1923, in Enderlin, North Dakota to Fred and Ester Kaut. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, who he married on December 12, 1943, Marjorie Ann Kaut; his daughter, Sherry Hall; his brother, Don Kaut; and his sister, Eunice Watson.
Norton graduated Norman High School in 1942 and went on to attend University of Arkansas for awhile until he joined the Air Force where he served for over 3 years from 1942 until 1945. For most of his career he worked at the McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company. He enjoyed golf, loved to farm and raise cattle, but most of all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Kaut and his wife Stephanie of Owasso, OK; grandchildren, Craig and Lisa Riggs, Darrell and Sheila Riggs, Erika and Justin Allison, Stacy and Adam Kelley, Lauren and Ian Robinson, and Joey McElrath; Great Grandchildren, Shepherd Allison, Eli Allison, Aiden Allison, Rhys Allison, Colten and Ashley Riggs, Trudie Riggs, Zach and Kayla Riggs, Marjorie Ann Kelley, Blake Robinson, Ruby Robinson, and Max Robinson
Pallbearers will be Justin Allison, Adam Kelley, Craig Riggs, Darrell Riggs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel-Glenwood.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Black Springs Cemetery with Bill Ray officiating.
